We are pleased to support Belinda Boyson, a recent graduate of our Telephone     Support Volunteer (TSV) training, who created an E-book to help new mothers survive their sometimes exhausting first one hundred days. For  each online purchase, she is donating $1 to PPPSS.

Belinda holds a Masters in Education (Workplace and Adult Learning), is an experienced facilitator, and is a mother to a toddling boy and chocolate lab.  Her further professional realm includes experience in organizational development, corporate learning, leadership development, and marketing.

She and her husband feel blessed to call Vancouver home.

An excerpt from the book:

What do you get when you mix the following ingredients?

- One part control freak

- Ounces and ounces of a big, colicky newborn

- Equal parts pride and feminine independence

- A pinch of pre-disposition towards anxiety

- Two workaholics turned new parents

- Tossed with tons of mommy myths and cultural norms?

Voila!  “Scrambled New Mama Hash”, otherwise known as ‘me’ after the birth of my first child while suffering from the lesser known postpartum anxiety.  Fortunately, I found PPPSS.  Over time, with the encouragement of our facilitator and the other moms, I processed and developed solutions to overcome many challenges.

After my experience with postpartum anxiety, I was inspired to write for other moms in hopes of providing comfort and insight as they start their journey.  I also wanted to find a way to give back to PPPSS.  The result was a book titled, Motherhood – Your First 100 Days.

Designed for the tired, busy new mom, some of the key benefits of the book include:
